This Code of Conduct outlines our commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of Group 19. It includes:
Diversity and Inclusivity Statement
This group is committed to creating a respectful and welcoming environment for everyone. Diversity of background, identity, and thought is valued and celebrated. All individuals, regardless of race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion, or any other characteristic, are treated with dignity and respect at all times
Expected and Unacceptable Behaviour
- Treat all members with courtesy, respect, and fairness.
- Use inclusive and respectful language.
- Value and include diverse perspectives in all activities.
- Avoid discrimination, harassment, bullying, violence, threats, and offensive jokes or language.
- Unacceptable behaviours include, but are not limited to: harassment, discrimination, physical or verbal abuse, intimidation, exclusion, and retaliation against those who report concerns
Consequences for Unacceptable Behaviour
- Remedial actions such as counselling, warnings, or mediation for minor or unintentional breaches.
- Formal disciplinary actions for serious or repeated breaches, which may include suspension or removal from the organization
Reporting and Response Procedure
- Report unacceptable behaviour to any designated leader or through an established reporting channel.
- All reports are taken seriously, investigated promptly, and handled confidentially where possible.
- Those found in breach of the code may be subject to the outlined consequences.
- Retaliation against anyone reporting in good faith is itself a violation and will be addressed accordingly
